SPORTZCENTER ACADEMY
For us to be successful as we can there are ways that we, as a team, must act and behave on and off the court. We are more concerned about instilling character, discipline, and work ethic than we are about wins and losses. It is up to you individually, to make this team what it can be. The rules and expectations are short and simple, we are not going to make it hard to understand, either you do what you are told or you will pay the consequences.
1. ALWAYS show respect. This involves your coaches, parents, referees and anyone in the community; you must always show character in all situations. Support your teammates at all times. Breaking of this rule will result in a one-on-one conversation with a coach. Second time will result in a conversation with the parents. We do not expect a third time.
2. Be on TIME for everything. If you are late for something dealing with the program then there better be a good reason, there are no excuses!!! Being late frequently can lead to dismissal.
3. Each athlete is required to wear basketball apparel to practice. Team uniform and sweats are to be worn to every game unless otherwise stated. On a out of town trip and other functions you will be required to wear SPORTZCENTER ACADEMY apparel.
4. There will be no tolerance for drugs, and/or alcohol. We will not put up with this. This is automatic dismissal from the program if it happens.
Parents Expectations
Please have your child at all SPORTZCENTER ACADEMY functions on time
Please be ready to pick your child up from all functions on time. We never leave a child behind, but we have families that we also would like to get home to.
We would like to have one parent attend the games. Support your child and the program. Cheer and high five each other during the games. PARENTS AND FAMILY ARE THE BEST CHEERLEADERS!!!!
Communication with your coach is essential. Make sure you pick up schedules, directions, and be aware of functions.
These are not all rules but some guidelines to follow. If another situation occurs the staff will make a decision on how to handle it. We hope no one stumbles but if you do there will be decisions to make. Not everyone can play basketball; it is a privilege not a right. For us to be CHAMPS we must act like it. We want respect for our team but you must earn it. The staff wants what is best for you and our team, a year of disruptions and broken rules, it will not be tolerated. If you can always remember to not ever embarrass our team, yourself, parents, or program
then you will not break these rules. You are role models to many people so you must lead by example.
We must stay positive and stay together!!
